Cerne Abbas, Dorset, South West England
Today the picturesque village of Cerne Abbas provides an ideal centre from which to explore the peaceful Dorset chalk downland. The village grew up around the wealth of Benedictine Abbey but then its prosperity declined, however it still has some excellent pubs and restaurants.
Park in the Cerne Abbas picnic area car park sign posted off the A352 between Dorchester and Sherbourne.
