From the car park the walk follows a track along Beacon Hill, from where you can get excellent views to the north and west. It then follows tracks through the shady Parnholt Wood. After leaving the wood the walk joins the Clarendon Way and follows it back to the car park. The Clarendon Way is a 24 mile walk joining the two cities of Winchester and Salisbury.
Follow signposts to Farley Mount Country Park from Standon which is on the A3090 Romsey to Winchester road. After Standon turn left at each road junction until you get to the small Monument car park on the left hand side of the road. There are many other car parks in the Country Park on the right hand side of the road.
