West Bexington is a small coastal village between Weymouth and Bridport/West Bay. The centre of the village is on a hill that slopes down to the unspoiled Chesil Beach. Combine both walks in this area for a longer walk of 6.2 miles / 10.0 km.
Sea fishing is very popular from the beach at West Bexington. To the west of the car park you will find a Dorset Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve consisting of shingle beach, reedbed, wet meadow and scrub, it is an excellent place for bird watching.
West Bexington is signposted from the small village of Swyre on the B3157 between Abbotsbury and Bridport. Follow the road through West Bexington down to the car park next to the beach.
