Starting from the National Trust car park the walk follows the main road through the village. It then continues through fields to a minor road near West Farm, climbs Brenscombe Hill and along the top of Rollington Hill and Challow Hill. Here you can get spectacular views over Corfe Castle and Poole Harbour. From the top of Challow Hill the walk goes down some steps to the village and back to the car park.
The walks start from the National Trust Visitor Centre car park in Corfe Castle, which is located on the A351 halfway between Wareham and Swanage, on the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. By bus, take the Wilts & Dorset 142 or 143 Poole to Swanage services.
