From the small Fontmell car park this short, easy walk around the top of Fontmell Down almost gets the best of the spectacular views in the area for a minimal amount of effort.
This walk is very popular with dog walkers.
Compton Abbas is on the A350 Blandford Forum to Shaftesbury road. From Compton Abbas take the road towards Ashmore. Turn left at the next crossroads. The Fontmell car park is just after the turning to the airfield.
