Frequently Asked Questions - FAQs
Can I take dogs on the walks?
If I notice that dogs are not allowed when I explore the walk and take the
photos I will mention it in the walk description.
While walking with your dogs in the countryside please keep them under control, see the
Countryside Code for guidance.
Where are the written directions for the walks?
There are no written description of the walks as I believe that a picture is worth a thousand words.
If you are concerned about the cost of ink to print all the photos, try printing in draft mode on plain paper,
it is not as expensive as you may think, and is perfectly adequate for using as your walk directions.
The print booklet option on a walk page prints twice the number of photos per page and can be folded
to produce a booklet per walk (see Printing Hints).
If you do not want to print the walk photos, many of the walks have Downloadable Picture Guides, which you can put on your iPod or mobile phone and refer to them while walking.
Are there any other walks outside the area of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire?
All the walks on walks4softies are within a day trip by car from home in Poole, Dorset.
If you would like to contribute walks to walks4softies for other areas let me know via the Contact Us form.
Are there any wheelchair/pushchair friendly walks?
Most of the walks on walks4softies are not really wheelchair or pushchair friendly.
If you would like to find walks for parents with pushchairs/buggies or wheelchair users try www.walkswithbuggies.com or www.walkswithwheelchairs.com.
