Ringstead, Dorset, South West England
The village of Ringstead lies in its own bay, as it is rather inaccessible it is protected from the holiday crowds. The village is small, with some old cottages and a few modern bungalows, however it is mentioned in the Domesday Book.
The beach at Ringstead is a good place to search for fossils. If you go searching for fossils you may be lucky to find some crushed ammonites.
Ringstead is sign posted off the A353 from Weymouth towards Wareham. After leaving the A353 take the second turning to the right down the toll road to Ringstead village. Pay the toll at the kiosk next to the car park.
