Shroton, Dorset, South West England

Shroton or Iwerne Courtney is a quiet, attractive Dorset village. It has an ancient history and was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The parish church of St.Mary has a magnificent tower dating from the 14th century. The nave and aisles were rebuilt in the 17th century. You can refresh yourselves before or after a walk at The Cricketers, the village pub .
Shroton is sign posted off the A350 between Blandford Forum and Shaftesbury. Park on the road in the village. The walk starts from in front of St. Mary's Church.
