Lepe Country Park, Hampshire, South and South East England
Lepe Country Park is on the edge of the New Forest and overlooks the Solent and the Isle of Wight. With over a mile of beach, tree fringed cliffs, and wild flower meadows, Lepe is a great day out, whether you want to relax and take in the view or do something a bit more energetic.
If you follow the coast through the car park you will eventually arrive at the historic D-Day remains. Here in 1944, a Mulberry Harbour was constructed, tanks loaded on to ships and there were 6000 soldiers camped nearby waiting to embark for France.
From junction 2 of the M27 take the A326 heading towards Fawley. Follow the A326 to a roundabout with a signpost to Blackfield. Follow the main road through Blackfield until you get to Lepe Country Park on the coast, about 3 miles/5 Km.
