Seatown has a shingle beach set in a bay beneath Golden Cap, at 618 feet / 191 m high it is the highest point on the South Coast. The beach is great for collecting fossils, after scouring tides ammonites can easily be picked up along the shore. Its name is derived from "sea town of Chideock".
Follow signposts to Seatown down Sea Hill Lane from Chideock, which is on the A35 between Bridport and Honiton. The walks start from the Seatown car park close to the beach.
