Upton Park, Dorset, South West England
Upton Country Park covers approximately 100 acres of attractive gardens, parkland and woodland on the shores of Poole Harbour. The park was built by Poole Merchants and passed through many families until it was opened to the public in 1976. The Park is now owned and managed by Poole Borough Council.
The park contains a Visitor Centre, Peacock Tearooms and Upton House. The House was built around 1818 "in the Italian style of architecture" sparing no expense.
Upton Country Park is signposted off the A35, west of Poole. On the bus ask for Upton Country Park on routes 92-94 or 142-144 on Wilts & Dorset.
